One of the saddest images from Jamaica...a submerged part of Port Royal...70% went underwater in 1691 in huge earthquake...probably a magnitude 8 or so.
This was the wealthiest part of the planet 400 years ago. Literally the wealthiest spot. Now it is one of the poorest in the New World. Kingston lies across the bay...the Blue Mts rising above.
