Had my introductory lunch at the Grand Old House, one of the best spots in Cayman...a beautiful old mansion on the water done up in British colonial furnishings. British colonial is more high gloss than US and has a rattan element. In the Caribbean it is often upolstered in bright broad plaids with oranges and aquas.
Art work on the walls from prominent Caymanian painters...some Americans, some European, some Caribbean.
By the way, say Care-a-BE-an here...not Cu-RIB-e-an.
When you say bye to someone they are likely to leave you with a smile and a statement: "All the best..."
